I can't believe that political pressure has made Peter Vidmar step down from his leadership role in the London Olympics. It is sad for the Olympics.
No matter who they find to replace him, nobody will represent each of the political, moral, religious, atheletic, and social views of every single athlete at the Olympics.
There is no such person. We all have views, stands, opinions, experiences, and beliefs.
Will somebody tell me what marriage laws have to do with athletic races? Why can't we just have a nice, unpoliticized Olympics?
